Trail of lights in night sky

I was outside last night and as normal, I look at the skies. Saw a few satellites then something really got me going. A fast moving object with another in the same path at the same speed. Then more and more. (I'd guess 60 or so). Freaked me out a bit.

An internet search this morning found the answer quickly. SpaceX has been deploying satellites in what is called a "Starlink chain". Awesome to see in the sky.

This site shows their current location. You can set your area then click "Predict Passes" and it'll show you when they're going overhead.

Here's a 1-minute video to show you'll see. When I saw them last night, there were probably twice as many and they were farther apart so it took closer to 5 minutes for them to pass.

If they can travel far enough to get here, they they have access to anything they want between here and there.
They could have wiped us out millennia ago. They are obviously waiting until we get wise enough to join their league of planets.

Here's an easier to use site for tracking them. Just put in your town and it'll tell you the day/time when they're flying over.

Everyone should be able to see them. I put in my location and it shows me 5 times in the next week when I should be able to see them easily as well as 11 times where it may be hard to see them (because they're not bright or too low in sky).

"During the Reykjavik talks with Mikhail Gorbachev in 1986, Ronald Reagan addressed Gorbachev's concerns about imbalance by stating that SDI would be given to the Soviet Union to prevent the imbalance from occurring. Gorbachev answered that he could not take this claim seriously.[85]

A military officer who was involved in covert operations at the time has told journalist Seymour Hersh that much of the publicity about the program was deliberately false and intended to expose Soviet spies:[86]

For example, the published stories about our Star Wars programme were replete with misinformation and forced the Russians to expose their sleeper agents inside the American government by ordering them to make a desperate attempt to find out what the US was doing. But we could not risk exposure of the administration's role and take the chance of another McCarthy period. So there were no prosecutions. We dried up and eliminated their access and left the spies withering on the vine ... Nobody on the Joint Chiefs of Staff ever believed we were going to build Star Wars, but if we could convince the Russians that we could survive a first strike, we win the game.

That's right.
SDI was all a sham.
It was just a bunch of stuff the Russians could see thru their telescopes.
