My favorite episode of TZ has always been "Obsolete Man". The STATE deems who is worthy.

I never dreamed I would live to see this come to life. My husband and daughter's jobs have been deemed essential by the State. They are not obsolete.

So Cuomo said there is a chance that churches might never reopen if they don't comply. Am I wrong, but I did not hear the word Mosque included? He is spitting on the Constitution and that will not fair well.
Virginia is doing the same, churches closed, but abortion clinics open. This is so wrong.

You aren’t wrong. He only threatened Christians and Jewish people. The hate of those who love God our Savior is strong these days.

My heart is heavy for the ones who don't believe how things that are unfolding exactly how the bible has said they would. I will remain Faithful and Trust in Gods plan. Did you see where they charged a pastor in Florida for having church. I understand the risk of large groups but now is the time for a revival.

That one can be a little dicey. The right to worship is one of the most sacred of our constitutional freedoms. Not sure how this one will play out. Hopefully Trump will have an opportunity to appoint another one or two supreme court judges to strengthen our constitutional protections. I don't think ANY state law can override a constitutional freedom.

I’m all for anyone’s rights to worship. I’m also all for locking that dumb fu#k up for being so reckless with those peoples lives. He is leading people that are likely willing to follow any advice he gives, so he should be protecting their bodies right now. Not to mention all the people they come in contact with. Now is the time to invest in some on line reaching out if he wanted to save their souls.

They do it all the time. Sure if your wealthy and fight them in a court of law you may win, but in the mean time they fine or arrest you....

Hey everybody!! Don't even stoop to their level. Remember all is under control. WE do not need a church to go to because our church is in our hearts. Even if you are locked standing up in chains in a prison camp, no matter what position your body is in, YOUR SOUL CAN BE ON ITS KNEES. Remember the greatest offer ever made. To die for a friend. Our God died for his brothers and sisters and we are all OK. Let those of this world do their best, give unto Caesar that which belongs to Caesar...Gary

Some churches are having a drive in service, like a drive in movie. They all tune in to a radio station and listen in.

We went virtual two weeks ago. Service is on YouTube. Hymns are music videos with Karaoke style lyrics so you can sing along, Bible studies are video conferences. We are switching to Zoom this week because Google Hangouts could not handle enough people.

I have heard some really bad privacy issues with Zoom. Even if you don't have Facebook, they still give them all of your info. Might want to check it out

I looked into this. That issue was on IOS and it was supposedly fixed. I think I can join a conference with just the app without signing up for a Zoom account. I won't know until tomorrow at 7pm. We'll see.

Drive-in is what I was thinking of if people still want to physically gather. Of course I am a big supporter of religious freedom (and all the freedoms really) but we won't be free if we're dead and the virus doesn't care about your religion. One of the biggest aspects of being a Christian for me is loving others and protecting and caring for the vulnerable. Gathering as we normally do on Sunday does not protect the elderly or those with pre-existing conditions.
And from what I have read, the "ban on churches" does include mosques and any other gatherings of larger numbers of people in close proximity.

I support the ban on large gatherings (I am a medical person, so I tend to think in practical terms), which I don't equate with infringement of religion.

The best answer would probably attend services with everybody kitted out in protective masks and suits . . . although I don't know how this would play out with Communion, but this could be worked around.

I'm sure that God understands these issues, and will cut everyone some slack. I don't see God as a nasty, vengeful, punishing being that's holding up a magnifying glass and searching for reasons to be mean.
