Everything we know is either real or a misdirect, you can't believe anything except that perhaps the hit was targeted or it was meant to distract everyone from something else. And rest assured we only have as the information the police want us to have, real or otherwise. A few things to consider:

Some pro shooters will pretend to be amateurs or amateurish to throw the police off.

Etched shell casings may be less reliable than non-etched shell casings.

Pro-shooters come with different skill and experience levels.

Amateur shooters come with different skill and experience levels.

Using e-bikes or small motorcycles/scooters to make a hit before fleeing is more common in Europe and dense population centers in South America.

There are a lot of experienced criminals from South America in NY looking to earn.

Wealthy people who have received threats normally have personal security.

CEO's of large businesses normally have personal security.

Sometimes Karma catches up to you before Justice does. These days Justice is so damn slow it's almost non existent. I'd expect more of this with all the truth coming out about the criminality in Healthcare, pharmaceutical companies and government health organizations.

There was local news tid-bits saying this guy and his wife lived in ..separate mansions... in a high price area of Minneapolis.. This for a number of years now.. This casting shadows on there family life and the like.. So it would seem at this time, no possibilities are off limits..

They tracked down that the shooter rode a Greyhound bus from Atlanta to NYC.
That makes a lot more sense now, them Georgia boys can shoot! (unlike the ones in new yawk )
...Also, most people in the south have United Healthcare.
