Atlas Shrugged. If you've never read it, it's very much your loss. READ IT. Yes it's long, but you can get the 10 disc abridged audio book for $10 on ebay. Buy it, it is one of the best books ever written.

Actually read the article, the whole thing. It's not that long. Read about how people are so desperate for food and unwilling to work that truckers are in real danger, in fact high likelihood of getting looted of everything.

Now think back to reading A.S. Remember how people just stopped working? They counted on someone else doing the work and they got the free ride. To the point where trains weren't able to run due to maintenance failures.

Now compare that book to what is written in this article. It is prophetic.

Remember the steps in the book written 60+ years ago.
#1: gov't gets so overwhelming that business leaders simply quit as gov't took over their businesses via force/leverage. In Venezuela, oil companies were pushed out as the gov't did a forced take-over.
#2: Gov't incompetence & corruption drove those businesses into the ground. I think Venezuela is only producing about 25% of the oil compared to past years due to equipment failures.
#3: Circular failure. As gov't takeovers failed, they just keep taking more things over. Venezuela is hungry, so the gov't go into food distribution (to their cronies, of course).
#4: You end up with revolt. Get your popcorn ready, Venezuela is primed and ready for this.

I worked for a Venezuelan corporation back in the early 1990s. Even back then, the millionaires were getting as much of their wealth out of there as possible.

My boss was an ex-diplomat to Germany and he was always having the offices swept for bugs and we had to keep the blinds closed so people couldn't see in etc. It was an axperience.

The Venezuelans must be very happy now days. They're getting what they asked for; socialism.
This is what we are headed towards too. Every time we elect politicians who promise to "take care" of us and to "give" us nice things for "nothing", we are slipping closer to being like Venezuela. All we need are a few more RINO Republican's and Democrats like Clinton, Warren or Sanders......

Eating rats, dogs and cats to stay alive. Where are Sean Penn and Michael Moore now? Why aren't they there with their utopian ideas?

http://money.cnn.com/2018/02/12/news/economy/venezuela-oil-production/index.html

Today's update on their oil production. Last month's oil production was down 20% from same month last year, and that's about 1/2 of what they produced 10 years ago.

95% of the exports are oil, basically it's their only export. Inflation is expected at 13000% this year. And the US is considering banning importing their oil.

It is going down quickly now, and there is no way to stop it.
