I will state ten thousand times that I am not a War Expert, not even armchair self-proclaimed slightly knowledgeable.

What is interesting (and sad & sickening) is (2) Two things:

1.) How the so-called West media is screaming about what a thundering breakthrough and success the Ukraine short-lived incursion into Russia.

2.) How sad and repulsive the videos are of APCs in the wide-open, screaming down the highway (and some hiding in the trees) Are static training targets. Not sure how anyone could watch the videos and call this a thundering & wonderful SUCCESS.

Any incursion into Russia proper is major news. Even if it turns out to be short lived, and therefore mostly a propaganda victory rather than a strategic military victory, it is embarrassing for Putin. First time it has happened. And, it shows that Ukraine is still ready to fight.

Doolittle's raid on Tokyo had almost zero military effect as far as the actual raid itself was concerned, but it was a spectacular propaganda coup, and it caused Japan to adjust its force posture. I'd imaging Putin may adjust his force posture to prevent this from happening again, and that will help Ukraine.

Or this is just made up to get further support for the money pit war, a whole lot of footage early on came from video games etc

"Ukrainian forces have made confirmed advances up to 10 kilometers into Russia’s Kursk Oblast amid continued mechanized offensive operations on Russian territory," ISW said in an update. "The current confirmed extent and location of Ukrainian advances in Kursk Oblast indicate that Ukrainian forces have penetrated at least two Russian defensive lines and a stronghold."

The assault kicked off early Tuesday morning and by Wednesday the Ukrainians claimed the capture of Sudzha, which lies about 8km across the Ukraine border, and has a key gas logistical hub in the same city.

Zelensky's office kept quiet as the offensive initially unfolded, but presidential aide Mykhailo Podolyak has since said on social media, "The root cause of any escalation, shelling, military actions, forced evacuations and destruction of normal life forms – including within the Russian Federation’s own territories like Kursk and Belgorod regions – is solely Russia’s unequivocal aggression."

NEW: Ukrainian forces have made confirmed advances up to 10 kilometers into Russia's Kursk Oblast amid continued mechanized offensive operations on Russian territory on August 7.

Russian media estimate that the area of the Kursk region seized by Ukraine in the past 48 hrs is roughly 350 sq km. https://t.co/a7Vt66Cn6j pic.twitter.com/X4ZUlBck2C

Russian channels published a map of alleged advance of Ukrainian forces into Kursk Oblast of Russia so far.
According to it, the Ukrainians were able to move 10km deep into Russian territory and capture a stretch of the R200 road, leading to the town of Sudzha. pic.twitter.com/VSSuU3Hu9v

Did you know the #1 enemy of George Soros, and now his kid, is Putin? And Russian has gone out of there way to block any Soros related social engineering and manipulation in their country. Putin was actually fighting Soros long before the US was even paying attention. Then suddenly Soros backed politicians everywhere became enamored with Ukraine and eventually war broke out. Now Ukraine is the world's largest money launderer with possibly the world's least effective military.

Ukraine sure lost a LOT of Armored Personnel Carriers, and brave men. SAD.

If this raid forces the Russians to divide their forces and spread them along the entire frontier they share with the Ukrainians, then the cost will have been worth it.

The Ukrainians who died will have understood that.

I believe Putin is just giving Ukraine just enough rope to hang themselves. It seems there is a lot of so called PTB that want Russia to go nuke and that's going to end up to having a very bad outcome.

So, they lost a lot of APCs, and about 300 Good men. Why not send 20 teams of 15 men in each team, on foot starting from eight different departure points.

The other thing is it looked like they were sittings ducks driving down a wide-open highway.....in broad daylight. And they "picked" them off easy from the air. So why would they think 1,500 or 3,000 men on the frontline would have been redeployed to that tiny area.

I sure don't know but I doubt Russia would have shifted any frontline warriors, for a job that two or 4 fighter jets handled in a few minutes.

The whole plan seems beyond stupid, especially in broad daylight. The satellite's must have seen that in minutes from the start.

The key to a raid is speed....and that means going vehicle mounted (or even airborne). There are risks in that, but that doesn't change the fact you can cover a lot more ground when vehicle mounted than you can on foot.

Drones have made even single soldiers a viable target.....so going on foot, even in the dark, is not working like it once did.

The guys on the raid were probably glad to be out of the trenches for a change......and combat involves risks....and that is especially the case in the most audacious missions.

.....and I wouldn't be so sure about the reports you are relying upon. It is difficult to know how well/poorly either side is going.

People with a military background have a greater chance of picking which info is propaganda and which makes sense (and may be true)......but even then, it is hard to know.

The big picture is this.........Russia is on the same side as China, North Korea, Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, Syria, Hamas, Hezbollah, Taliban..........and Russia and China are calling the shots in that Bloc of totalitarian nations.

They are very actively trying to turn nations who are on the fence and the developing world against the West........and I have seen this personally in many parts of the world.

So that makes them the enemy.

To a soldier, it is that simple.

But many Americans have got themselves pretty confused about who is who and what side they are on.

Projecting domestic politics onto foreign policy hasn't helped that.

That confusion didn't happen all at once........it is the result of a decade or more of manipulation and psyops disinformation coming from outside the US.

...and the confusion is the result of domestic news agencies like Fox, CNN, MSNBC who really don't give a damn about reporting news of the war unless that news can be used to keep their particular party in power. It is shameful, but that is what our so-called journalists are doing these days; they are just media arms of the political parties, and they are focused on domestic power. Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Hamas...they are only useful to report if they help put Biden/Harris/Trump into office.

Our domestic politics should not be affecting how we view these events. The facts of these events should be affecting how we view them.

One small point of differential: They've been At that 💩 for Decades... Darth Bozos' CIA-funded 'WaPo' admitted / detailed How they Do it, over 30 yrs ago.. https://www.washingtonpost.com/arch...nalists/761e7bf8-025d-474e-81cb-92dcf271571e/ 🤬

..and ya have to consider / Look at the so-called 'Elites' who Make Up those 'Parent Orgs'. and pay attention to what 💩 They are spouting / implementing in their Mega EvilCorps (ie: Cuckerburg and his Farcebook / the 'Pre-Musk Twitter', etc..) Talk about 'SPECTRE in a sheep costume'..

Alex Jones may be nuttier than squirrel💩 in a Lot of stuff he posits (and May even be 'controlled opposition' as Some assert, even if only to Some small degree, but.. "Info(rmation) Wars" is certainly Spot On. 🤬

Quite ironic that this is taking place at Kursk. The scene of the greatest tank battle in history, where Russia whipped Germany’s butt.

this just goes to show why russia said...not on my border period....same as us saying not in cuba on my border.

everyone wants a buffer...especially the biggest and toughest players.

I am going to start a new thread based on this information, but it is relevant to this thread "FOR SURE". (It is a bit long'ish, but gets better in the second half)

For better or stupid bad, my brain flashes stunning (to ME) connections.

While still digesting the above information (and clear escalation) my brain flashed on the pivotal scene in the great movie: "Lawrence of Arabia". The way my brain works is that it walks away, and I am stuck with figuring out the connection.

In that scene, which is a "Thundering" charge of every man, woman, child, and cook wagons; towards the enemy (of that day) Lawrence is yelling (no bellowing) "NO PRISIONERS" over and over "NO PRISIONERS".

I think it was on my seventeenth viewing of that movie, that I grasped why he was screaming, "NO PRISIONERS".

Clue: He was NOT warning the enemy camp. He was telling his team that the Enemy-team have been informed this fight is to the DEATH of every human.

Now his team realizes the enemy must fight to the death of the last person. So, informing his team they better have their fight to the death, skills ready. "NO PRISIONERS".

NATO, just informed Russia, that NATO thinks it is "ready to RUMBLE". I suspect "Team" NATO may not have realized the communication.

As a person with some military experience I don't put any stock in the news concerning Ukraine/Russia War as it's all propaganda on both sides.

Does "all" = 100%......???

If it is substantially propaganda, OK. But if it is "all" propaganda, one must ask, Does the war even exist, or is it merely rumors of war. My point is how do I know if anyone has died or even been inconvenienced. This is not a personal attack, but exactly how are we expected to believe anything (OK, I can believe only what I see out my window).

Good point and the answer is yes. We won't know for sure what went on until a hundred years after the fact at least.

While I fundamentally agree, that leave us with no other option then to accept that we must make personal decisions of a serious magnitude, while having zero empirical knowledge of truth, further complicated by living in a swirling sea of lies from all who pretend to govern us.

More & More & More, I derive some pleasure from being near 78 y/o. While weeping for the future environment of the youth.
