The Bilderberg meetings are no myth. I think we'd be fools to not think the rich and powerful meet each other to stay that way.

I would agree, as far as any use of the name "illuminati"....however, there is good evidence suggesting some very secretive meetings and even bizarre ritual behavior among the elite for decades at least. Unless one feels it's a mere coincidence that the most recent wars seem centered around nations who aren't using the world bank.... The New World Order is far from just a myth. I fear it is already too late to do anything to thwart their objective however...but I'm also not so sure it's a completely BAD objective (one world government, total corporate control, etc.). I mean, in essence, most of us are already enslaved anyhow, so it's really just an issue of how well kept we are, and the length of our chains.

I don't know enough about this subject to have an opinion.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_World_Order_(conspiracy_theory)

These two should serve as a pretty good primer for the issue. Granted, wiki, but concise, and to the point of it. Plenty of further research options in the source listings for these articles.

Fair warning though...sometimes, ignorance is bliss. Once you go down the rabbit hole, you'll eventually learn how far reaching and inevitable it all is.

I actually thought we had a shot after this last election, of at least delaying it for 4 yrs, and thumbing our noses at it, for a short time...but it's pretty obvious they got to him. I can even pinpoint exactly when it happened. When he met with top leaders of the GOP, and the GOP did a complete 180 in their support of him. Looked odd then...makes perfect sense now. Or, he was theirs all along...scary thought...but I still think it unlikely. I think he was somehow forced to play a little ball.

Though the Bilderberg Group foundation and principals are different than that of the Illuminati nor does it compare to the Mason's. Even the small splintered group of the Illuminati today aren't even the same as the Bavarian Illuminati. In the old days even the Mason's and Illuminati fraught with one another given the Mason's wouldn't except the Illuminati. The only connection between the Bilderberg Group and Mason's is some members of the Bilderberg group are Mason's. I don't even count today's Illuminati as an order except a group trying to rehash the old order in name only.

I'm sure I can claim my bedroom a secret society and minds will wonder. We preppers are thought of in the same manner from the majority as the conspiracy theorist think of secret societies (up to no good)

A whole lot of conjectures!

Not so sure.

I have a bit more insight on this, that I can't go into too much here. Suffice to say, I was once a mod on a conspiracy site, where Interpol actually investigated one of our members, and had us remove certain confidential info from the site or be shut down. We complied of course, and I do not know the fate of the member (other than she was never heard from again with that username). Her area of expertise was this group, and she was relentless at it. I certainly looked at such claims in a much different light after that. Thing is, if we are headed towards a one world government, there seems very little we could do at this point to stop it. My bet is that this is a pretty long term plan, and it's downright scary just how well the level of control seems to be stepped up year to year.

I do NOT think it's a Mason thing. I almost joined myself (then moved, and never went back into it, as I have been busier than I would have liked). While no doubt, many movers and shakers are Masons, that doesn't mean Masonry is behind any of it. I've known plenty of men high up in the organization, and I can't imagine anything of the sort of them...men I hold in the highest respect.

Lol, maybe I should change subject line then? Or is damage already done?

Nah, just saying that I feel there is definitely "legs" to the idea that a cabal of the elite pull the strings of what happens in the world. And face it, it makes sense. Why wouldn't they? Why else would they band together, ensure their kids go to the same schools, all interact, marry into "good" families, etc.? if not to consolidate power? Even when nations cease to be, families will still jockey for position.
