My parents are letting me get a greenhouse, the whole setup (including soil & seeds) needs to be under $300-350, so I'm looking on Amazon to get a greenhouse under 250. I'm thinking maybe 12' x 7' x 7'?
Also I live up north so I'll need to figure out how to keep it heated in the winter. Does anyone have any recommendations? How long will a tarp greenhouse actually last?

You will get a lot more bang for your buck if you purchase materials and build it yourself. There’s loads of info online for designs. Here in the south I get three years on the life of a cover on mine, but I hear some get 5. The sun is harsh here.

Thanks I'll look into that!

A new greenhouse is on my list of construction projects for this summer. Like Brent suggested above I'm going to build my own too. I'll probobly make it around 8×10 or 10×12 using 2×4 framing. Because of our climate I'm thinking about using closed cell fiberglass panels, I think that's what they're called. I don't know yet if I'll heat it or not. We'll have to wait and see how it does with out heat.

In your area heat would be a necessity likely. Even then your probably going to only extend your growing season a little. Still a worthwhile endeavor.
