The basis for this may be suspect, but I will endorse it anyway.

MLB players, astronauts, fast food, Google searches, Facebook, and Olympic medals, is what makes a State more American than another? Bullshart! What stupid criteria.
I agree and I r on the other side of the border .Who produces the most beef, that would be a lot better, but some of that is covert so libtard media would get it way wrong

You sound anti American comrade. I'm kidding.

Fast food is purely American. Facebook posts that love the USA, not just Facebook. Google searches to take pride in the death of Bin Laden, not what color undies Taylor Swift wore on her last tour. These are all American things, like it or not. And let's not forget gun ownerships and Bald Eagles! USA! USA!

I will also add that I don't see a lot of blue states making the list.

A few tactical nukes might make Ohio #2, too many 💩 hole cities otherwise.

I guess I don't consider things that have only been around for a few years, like the internet and fast food to define what is American. I guess I'd consider things such as; schools that still recite the pledge of allegiance, which states still believe in, and follow the constitution, which states have a higher percentage American born citizens, number of pickup trucks, number of family farms, etc. Yes I know, doesn't matter what I think.

I like your thoughts.

#38 in firearms? We or Utah are #1.

#49? They can kiss my sunburned Arizona #ss.

And California #43? That's not even part of America anymore.

Clickbait.

I am sorry, the Kommunist Republik is the most UnAmerican state and I have lived in a couple like NY and IL.
I go to NV to have my 2A rights to buy ammo.
Add in 3rd world conditions, Sanctuary policies, rigged elections……….

I guess with open borders and importing huge numbers of "refugees", there isn't many real Americans left in California. And many of those that are left in California are communists.

Like everywhere, a few tactical nukes would change the landsscape. Parts of California are quite nice, but stay away from the big cities. I hated L.A. 40 years ago, I'm sure it's not better now.

I always felt the northern part of California should split off and become part of southern Oregon. Now days I think northern California, Southern and Eastern Oregon, eastern Washington and Northern Nevada should join with Idaho and form a new country.

And you know where I am heading, I agree.
I like moving to a street where 5 houses have Trump flags out front, Don’t recall any Biden or Harris flags. Don’t have to play greyman just to be safe up there.

I thought this was a straight up question, didn’t know there was a biased chart/map. As a straight up question I’d say Texas because I live here and see how people are, how the government is…I know I’m wrong.
Of course, I know people from Iowa and I don’t consider them more patriotic. Wait, I thought this was about the people, not the state.

That's why I said it is democrat/communist propaganda! "American" under their set of standards!!🙁 What they want America to be!

They forgot the percent of fat people as criteria. Crazy stuff.

Mountain Trapper, I think you have some good ideas. I would, however, comment on some of them and perhaps enlarge some of the definitions of "what is American":

  • Schools which still recite the pledge of allegiance: True. America is the only country I am familiar with which make kids swear a daily oath of allegiance to a god and a flag, not a Constitution.
  • Follow the Constitution: I can't think of any state -- red/blue, left/right, rural/suburban -- which allow its people to actually enjoy the freedoms that are guaranteed, especially in their private lives. Most states which are sympathetic to gay marriage, women's right to choose, etc. tend not to be sympathetic to a peaceful person who wants to bear arms -- and vice versa. People who believe that their particular "freedom" is better than someone else's "freedom" (with which they might not agree) doesn't sound very American to me!
  • Higher percentage American born citizens: I would think that America is an exemplar of opportunity for all citizens, regardless of where they were born. Favoring someone whose citizenship is based solely on where they were born (as opposed to someone who actually was made to learn about citizenship and then pass a test to show they are as good as I am) is pretty "un-American" as far as I can see.

Nuking fellow American citizens because their politics and lifestyles are different than yours? Not exactly what I consider American!

That approach was tried in 1861. It didn't work out, though!

Oh, trust me, there are a bunch of us residing in San Bernardino County. We voted, and passed a measure demanding that we are separated from the leftists who have ruined Kommiefornia. We demand our own state, but it is falling on deaf ears. Our county is mostly Republicans. We fly American flags, Trump flags, crime is very low, and most carry guns

IMHO every state would brag about being "the Most American", and many would have a valid claim.

Old Whathisname raises a very valid question that I will address in another thread. I don't want to derail this one.

Interesting way to set up a statistical method to rate the most American state. Of course. the rating system is totally controlled by the random qualifications chosen, which seem to be by whim.

Me, I would rate the most American state by the number of Texas Flags that are flown. But that's just me. (wink)
