Which way is the sky?

On the Earth or any planet or satellite, the up-down direction is defined by the local gravitational field. The solid Earth is beneath your feet, the direction you would move if there were nothing firm to resist your motion. That’s “down.” The opposite direction, towards the sky is “up.” But these definitions are local—if you followed the direction “up” in the sky, and it pointed to a star in space, it would be a different star for every location on Earth, and that star would change as the Earth rotates beneath the sky. There is no absolute up and down in the universe, only your up and down.

This thread is a honey trap for the Ignore feature.

Campandtravel, just curious:
What was your point for posting this "theory" of yours?
"Which way is the sky? (I'm testing a theory.)"
What's your point/theory?

Other than The "Four Tops" song, for me it depends on how many vodker tonics or Pinot Noir's I've had...Haa! Kidding of course! (Sort of)..🥳
