Like I said a stroke of a pen and anyone could be drafted. It does not list a age in the constitution. I'm not talking about other laws
WHO on this forum is NOT too old to get "DRAFTED"......???

I believe the age requirement would be adjusted depending on if we're losing.
My dad lied about his age and joined the Marine Corps at 16.

My issue is does the constitution specifically state an age. Not what congress has decided at this present time

I'll have to read my constitution again because I don't remember there being an age requirement. This will a good exercise to get more acquainted with the constitution.

Me too but presently my copy is in my library down a flight of stairs. I recently had surgery and am grounded

I dont care either way but specifics are important to me
On my survival grounds " my son " received a letter from the military wanting him to help them though " he has never been in the military " . His age at that time about 37 years old . While it was not a draft notice , it was very concerning . At least they never came knocking on his door . Why some are probably wondering their acute interest in him . The answer maritime skills .-- When or if the Democrats get their war going at the level they desire , the folks they will be looking at to grab , throw into the back of a van and haul off may be more wide spread than some are expecting .

action. The first, and most basic, is: “Is the draft constitutional?” The
plain answer to this, noted in the introductory paragraph, is that it is.
Conscription is clearly anticipated by the Constitution. The Constitution did
impose one small but key restriction on a conscripted army – any allocation of
funds to support the army can only have a life of two years. Any allocation
thereafter must be reauthorized by Congress. Since the House of
Representatives is elected every two years, this is a safeguard against runaway
armies. If the people are not satisfied with the way a draft is being run,
they can elect a House that will not authorize further funding.

As far as I am concerned, if you can pull a trigger you can fight. Not over some stupid liberal manufactured conflict but if a war comes to our soil. If you can't fight, you can do something else to support the fight. Someone has to manufacture ammo and load magazines.
