Ugh! We cleaned out GrandPappy's basement a couple years ago and found C-Rats ( WW2 versions of MREs) from WW2 in the original cases and all. Even a gigantic block of furry cheddar. Pappy was a prepper and didn't know it!

The big mistake was they let everyone know what they had. Even if they weren't interested in Prepping and protecting their family at all; they could have sold the stuff on eBay to collectors. Maybe they still can.
