From what I can tell about wish . Do not go by the picture you have to open the description . They have a lot of last year model stuff . They wait for orders to build and buy in bulk ? Some stuff may be 2nds . Some items may be up to 90 % off but may not ship for weeks .

I saw rifle scopes on their ad real cheap . I joined using pay pal and not My card # . I ordered a " tactical " ink pen for $3 as a test order . I'v saw thoes pens for $10 to $20 else where .

pls keep us informed when they arrive and if those items are good in use?

I never ordered from them. They are a bad decision!
That's
I’ve not heard of wish, but harbor freight comes to mind. Really cheap prices, but the tools don’t last long. Mostly junk, but there are some things that long term quality don’t matter, so just be wary and test out a couple items first.
That's what my brother and I talk about Harbor Freight. There are certain things we never but, but others we do to get the free stuff . I buy my jersey work gloves by the packs and get 20% off then we get the free batteries or flashlights.

Back when I had my welding shop, and before I realized what Harbor Freight was, I ordered a truck load of tools based on my FIL's recommendation. A few tools were quality, but over 90% was poor quality Chinese junk. I wasn't about to use this junk in my shop and ended up giving most of the order away to my FIL. I've heard that Harbor Freight has gone downhill even more since then.

A friend has a good rule-of-thumb for places like Harbor Freight. If it's something you will rarely use, consider if it will pay for itself if used once and thrown away. If it won't, don't buy it. Because odds are that this is exactly what will happen.

There's an expression, I'm sure I won't get it right, but something like...

The pleasure of a cheap price is long gone while the enjoyment of quality endures.

The older I get the more true that is...

Yeah, I would never buy the big stuff like generators, etc. I feel I get my money worth with free tarps, batteries, headlamps, etc. Then I get 20% off my gloves and zip ties

Harbor Freight brick and mortar stores are good for some hard to find items that I'd rather see before buying instead of ordering blind on the Internet. I got some pretty decent copper core inverter cables there, which seemed to have an honest gauge rating (the ones I got on Amazon were aluminum core so the gauge rating was deceptive).

Every time I go in there just to browse however, I really don't see anything that I want to buy. A lot of the power equipment is obviously inferior quality Chinese sweatshop junk.

Agree. I did buy a reciprocating saw and it has been really good cutting limbs and stuff. I actually cut down a 6" diameter tree with it.

My son goes through batteries like crazy so I like getting the free batteties.

Buy some rechargable batteries and charger. It willnsave you a bunch of money.

Some items there are great, some are cheap as hell, most are ok for the price. Its great if there is that one tool you only need to use once.

Sounds like a good plan, but I can't think of any tool that I'd want to go cheap on with the intent of only getting one use out of it. I would still rather pay for quality and get a tool that will last a lifetime.

In an emergency pinch (light to medium work) Harbor Freight will do as long as one understands they are a disposable tool company ...the vises suck, all are cast not forged, nothing like having the sound of a shotgun going off a foot and a half from your face when the vise gives out under pressure, find an good o'l Reed or Wilton forged vise.

Just looked at Wish shopping, it looks to be more of a trinkets shopping place.... not my kind of items.

I don’t buy many tools there after learning the hard way, but do use some consumable items. Things like grinding wheels, tarps, etc are cheaper than anywhere else.

I was looking at Leupold scopes on there and some of the high end Bushnells . Hardly trinkets . Lol . There is alot of garbage on there too . I used the search button to filter most of that out .

I would highly recommend against buying any cheap tool, and especially grinding wheels. I knew a girl once who was using a cheap grinding wheel and it exploded, destroying almost half of her face. I've seen mechanics using cheap impact sockets that have shattered, cheap wrenches break, etc that have all caused injuries. On my previous jobs I made it a policy that no made in China tools or parts were to be purchased.
