The Final Gunshot
It’s true. When you’re about to die your whole life does flash before you. And I was so close to my final destination.
Someone was on my trail for days. I was resting with my back resting against a stack of cut firewood. I had just finished my noon meal. The unusual warm sunlight made me drowsy. “It will not hurt if I just keep my eyes closed a little bit longer” I was thinking when the sound “TAWACK” followed by wood splitters hitting the side of my face convinced me otherwise.
