This guy, Greg Ovens in BC, is interesting. In this first video he talks about 10 survival tricks that have been suggested in bushcrafting and survivalist books and videos that have been giving the wrong advice, some of which could be fatal. He explains why.

By-the-by, for any of you that have never been to British Columbia nor talked with any men that have been long-term residents of British Columbia - Greg Ovens is 100% representative of the typical British Columbia men's down-to-earth, growly accents and mannerisms when they're talking.

Also, if you like the following video then at this link - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4jxd-47X7mnekLfxbsAuew - is the list of all the other bushcraft and survivalism videos that he's posted online, he has covered a wide range of bushcrafting, hunting and fishing experiences and teachings not only in Canada but some other countries too.

I don’t know much about the other berries that he mentioned but the thimble berries and salmon berries he had right. I’ve eaten a ton of both and Mom has both growing on her property.

Right on. 😊 I love thimble berries and salmon berries, they are delicious (to me) and nutritious. The yellow salmon berries are usually bigger than the red ones, and they are sweeter and juicier too, so always a special treat. Both thimble and salmon berries are excellent ingredients to dry for putting in a pemmican mixture too.
