I wish the Boy Scouts were still the same organization they used to be.

We didn't have girl scouts in my home town, but we did have Boy Scouts. I didn't want to be a boy scout, I just wanted to be a scout. I used to read through my brother's manuals. Such good basic information. I think all children should have good scouting experiences of camping, hiking, being out in nature, learning basic survival skills.

I agree with you. Being in the Scouts gave me something that parents could never teach.
