As was said in another thread, it seems crazy is getting more and more and more frequent. Combination of causes... drugs, stupid, no consequences for lesser crimes, hatred.

One thing for certain: every wack like this should be put down like a rabid dog. No second chances. No easy prison time. No media feeding. And I think most cops are starting to think this way. It used to be cops wanted to get nutjobs alive, get a chance to interview them & 'learn' why they did it. Not that I want cops to be judge/jury, but sometimes a jury really isn't necessary to figure guilt... like when a nutjob kills one officer & wounds 4 others.

This is nothing new . Domestic calls have always been some of the worst and most dangerous. Especially if the suspect has a end of the road mentality . One difference is 30 or 40 years ago most of these stories would only make the local branch of the big 3 broadcast companies compared to nowadays a fender bender makes international news . This story would have made national coverage due to the number of casualties but most wouldn't have been known outside of the community it happened in .
