Ok. Went and found where this was said. That lead statement above is ONLY about the emergency powers the way I’m understanding it. So yes, the President is in control of the emergency powers. The article also had the President saying he would not assert his power over the Governors. Pence did say this...

“Make no mistake about it, in the long history of this country, the authority of the president of the United States during national emergencies is unquestionably plenary,” he added.

Seems like a bunch of Drama Queen crap going on. So sick of the fighting by the media. If this were Obama, they would be licking his shoes.
 
Let me put some words into President Trump's mouth. He has the power to open or keep closed the --- MY words here === "federal government" --- and not the governors. The President should have clarified his statement a bit better. He does have the power over the "Federal" portion of government and federal business BUT it is the responsibility of each state governor to open or close. Wish them luck on these decisions, it is going to be a loose -loose deal.

Youve explained it well. Trump, not being a politician or a stinking attorney who has lived off the people’s wages for years doesn’t speak the lingo like other presidents have.
