After WW2 dad bought a new wood/canvas canoe and he and his friends used to paddle around Belle Isle on the Detroit river. Dad took and old wind up phonograph and made a mount for the canoe so he could listed to music. Here is a picture of the old phonograph, I still have it, and I have the canoe. Maybe next year I will put them both to use on the reservoirs around here. I will have to ask my nephew to send me a few of the old records he inherited. Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin. Hopefully the needle is still good.

OK let me explain.
The spare tire is out so my guess is she is trying to get some guy to stop and change a flat tire for her.
She is absolutely using the correct bait to hook a guy into stopping.
See that tank between her knees?
That's a windshield washer reservoir. You had to pump air into it so the washer fluid would squirt onto the windshield.
I wish I had one of those. The car not the woman. The car is worth more now that it's old.
The girl is probably someone's grandma.

I worked for a while for a warehouse that sold albums to record stores. Some would but 10 to 20. Others 100+ per order. Easy job and got to wonder thru music of all kinds. Bonus, I could buy any album for $1.00 each. I built a nice collection while working one of three jobs at the time
