Yes, I think we need some more discussion about basic blacksmithing and tool making. I have been working on getting better equipment for some basic tool making. I got a heavy duty cross slide vise for my drill press, and can now do some crude milling. Nothing close to a CNC mill however. I just finished making a chef's knife from a power hacksaw blade (with tungsten carbide teeth). I found many many uses for that cross slide vise in the process.
