Over in the reading thread, I mentioned that I've been reading the Little House series for the first time. I just finished "Little Town on the Prairie." In it she speaks of a school exhibition where she is to recite a piece on history. She mentions the year of 1820 when the economy crashed, unemployment skyrocketed, and people starved to death. I tried doing a quick search on the year and US history and no info.
I'm just curious as to your thoughts. . . .
(2020 - 1820 = 200 )
