Latest bout started in the 1950s when a Home Secretary decided on his own back that Self Defence was no longer a good reason to allow a person to own a gun. We actually NEVER had the right to arm ourselves for self defence TBH

That sucks. I didn't know it was that long ago. So what if you bash someone's head in while they are robbing you in the middle of the night? Do you get your baseball bat taken away?

a baseball bat would be classed as a weapon and we would be arrested, a walking stick or a frying pan now that would be a different matter!!

I was encouraged by the comment about not being tolerant with extremism. I think it's a step in the right direction. It sucks, as some innocent people are going to be caught up in it, but I feel that if they even suspect you of anything you're deported.

Nup you get done for attempted murder, you are only allowed to use REASONABLE FORCE to prevent injury to yourself, if you hurt the criminal you can and often are prosecuted.

What the heck is a tactical pen? . I guess when you get down to it anything can be a self defense weapon in a pinch. I am watching a series called the 100. In it a girl picks up a skull and wacks another in the head with it. If someone is trying to kill you it pays to be resourceful!

Yes Sir, you can have anything you like in your vehicle providing its being transported to a place where its going to be used. Some malicious cops have prosecuted drivers in the past for keeping wheel nut wrenches ( telescopic lug nut extention bars in US) in the cab instead of the trunk. So if you have bows or guns or cricket bats or baseball bats you better be on your way to or from the correct venue. Dont be shocked its just what the Democrats will foist on you lot eventually.

Why do you think more and more enlightened people are dropping out, moving out and going off grid? If the cops dont operate in your rural area they cannot persecute you. Guys ALL larger urban conurbations EVERYWHERE are getting more repressive thats why more people than ever are cutting their losses, forgetting big wages and moving to out of the way one horse towns where they can live in peace.

the Police say that locally they have lost about 500 officers over the last few years because of budget cuts, over 30 rural police stations are being closed over the next few years, pretty soon you wont see a policeman in the countryside-not that we do now, we see the odd squad car flying through, but coppers "on the beat" don't exist around here.
