I received a phone call last night from my cousin. My uncle passed away at 7:58pm. My uncle was a Marine in Vietnam and never talked about it. He had dementia. My cousin called me and told me things were getting bad and they weren't expecting him to last much longer. I went and visited him last Monday. Besides the illness he did not appear sick so inside I was thinking what is she(cousin) talking bout. I guess long story short his body shut down.
As we were walking out the doors of the hospital I told my wife that there is no way in hell I would go thru that or put her thru it. If I ever became diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer's I was going to take a dirt nap once it started getting bad but not to bad. She was what are you talking about? Told her dead, suicide or something.
So, funeral should be soon. I was asked to be a pole bearer. Prayers for everyone appreciated.
