What do preppers do to keep our kids and grandkids safe in schools, churches, sports centers, etc..? I have been giving this some thought. What I have come up with is teaching your kids how to be aware of suroundings and how to act if they suspect an active shooting is takeing place.

Erm HOME SCHOOL them, Back in the 80s survivalists in the CO/NM/KS/OK area were home schooling their kids to a better standard than the state schools, they did it by working togther to form homeschooling groups of five or six families in an area cooperating to home school their kids in a group. In churchs you can arm your vicar.

Pretty darn clear this issue is growing and as parents and preppers leaving your childrens safety in the hands of your local education authority is way to risky. Time for smaller family and friends controlled home schooling groups.

Face facts my friends, we have some seriously F***ed up kids in British and US society these days, stabbing and shooting each other, its a society wide problem and relying on the state to protect our children from mental nut jobs is not working.

The school shooting was pretty close to me. Our local new s station was there and she was tore up by the situation. Have you happened to notice how easy it would be to homeschool your kids now days verses back in the day? Maybe more should consider that route. It seems this is not going away any time soon unfortunately.

I don't have kids, but I am sure American schools MUST be more secure than British ones, yet I saw yesterday that there has been one school shooting in the USA every week this year so far.

It depends on what you call a "school shooting." This one was in a parking lot ("car park" for you limeys ) and didn't involve students, although it was following a graduation ceremony.

The one Religar was referring to did I need happen in a school at class at 7:30 ish am. There was another in a parking lot after graduation that didn't involve students.

When I say once a month, I mean a mass event, where the culprits are indiscriminately targeting school students and staff. Not Johnny trying to shoot his ex and her new boyfriend.
