what do you guys think the best bag would be to carry my items in? I went over to www.militaryluggage.com due to the quality of their packs, but cannot decide on a duffle or backpack. Any ideas?
Military luggage is built to a specification laid down by a government and its ALWAYS a Compromise, THEN those bags are made to contract by the LOWEST bidder. Better off cherry picking the best bits of design used by the military AND civilian experts and buy from a more prestige bag manufacturer, I currently use some Berghaus most mostly 5.11 .
I do chuckle from time to time when I'm told 'but it's Military Specs'
Even just not that far back Marines and Soldiers would purchase there own magazines from a civilian supplier because it was more reliable and better built (Magpul) than the milspec magazines, The Pentagon finally adopted the Magpul and is part of the NSN supply

Best bit of advice I was given about load bearing bags; go to a few outdoorsy or army surplus shops and try them on. Doesn't matter how tacticool, popular or expensive a bag is, if it isn't comfy to carry, it will just be either an uncomfortable pain in the rump, or an expensive cupboard filler. You can then order online if you find the right one cheaper.
