I live right near the airport so Blackhawk helicopters and state helicopters are flying all the time. No big problem for me.

The only helicopters that I see around here is when there's a fire or the mining companies are checking out their mining properties. I'd be fine to never see an annoying helicopter.

This is the time of Year for 'WTI', IIRC.. (not sure if that varies a bit by State tho..) Could be that..Or - might be 'THEY'RE COMING FOR YA PPW! RUNNNNNN!'

I usually see activity in october. Fiscal year for the military ends on oct 31st. Commands have to use up all the fuel allocations in their budget for the year or their budget will be cut the next year. 
I only rode in a helicopter once, (tourist flight).
Woulda given anything to balance the blades, it shook terribly.
If I had to fly in one again, I would hope that it was one of these below...
