Languishing lonely on my plate

But guaranteed, had they had anything else

Oops - it slid right off my plate
Eat it, Caesar, you canine ingrate
What? "No, Mom, I don't want any more"
As I grind helping number one into the floor

(I'm posting this in honor and remembrance of the author, my father's second cousin's son, who died in his taxi cab 34 years ago. A random fare simply got in his cab and shot him, then left and didn't even steal from him. He was 30. His mom wrote a book about dealing with the grief called "Harsh Grief, Gentle Hope". It is a deeply Christian perspective. If any of our members are dealing with the loss of a loved one, especially a sudden or violent loss, I really recommend this book if you can find it. It will help get you through the hard times...)
