This is my favorite fire hack. I have made several of these and have them in all of my bags.
The one thing I do differently is I don't use a Vaseline soaked cotton ball. I use two Q-Tips. I cut them in half and push them down into the Chapstick @ 12-3-6-9. The lid still fits on the Chapstick, and now you have at least four chances, and they are not as messy as the cotton ball.
