I LOVE these before and after pics!! It helps that I absolutely love the car too!
The top pic looks a lot like the 1959 Tunnel Back Continental I bought for $40, installed the engine in a 59 Ford pickup which I rolled and then pulled the engine and installed it in my all time favorite Rat Rod, a 1951 Ford pickup, I often wish I still had that wild machine.
This is my ALL time favorite car this one is a 327 may be a 350 hp.

Yeah we have lost so many to air travel, I remember when Lynyrd Skynyrd crashed, That was a shock.
I was around MSC, AL. When they were up there and went to The concert set up by the Studio at Florence Lauderdale Coliseum, It was a great show.
Not just singers though a lot of entertainers and sports greats have met the grim reaper in a crash of some kind From a Harley to a Lincoln on the ground and a light plane to a jumbo jet.

Wanna see some REAL CAR PORN, My sisters 68 Charger R/T I dropped it at a body shop for a complete restoration in 1990 The shop was just starting in Corinth Mississippi it was to be done and complete for 3000 dollars at the time not too bad of a price but still a little high she gave them 1500 up front for The supplies, they car was a very solid car no rust in the floor or anywhere except the wheel well and the rear quarters 10 years later it was painted not very well after she paid 1000 more for paint and supplies just to get all of the parts BUT THE REAR WINDOW BACK. I went and told the SOB if the rear window did not turn up he would have no shop and it turned up.
Nothing was done all of the parts were in BOXES.
It sits for 5 years and The Hot Rod Shop gets it, it is there for another few years the deal 25,000 and it comes out complete except for interior.
The Hot Rod Shop is owned by jeremy bumpass of POWER NATIONS TRUCK TECH.
This is what came back 34,000 later to get it out of resto shop jail and he even stole some of the parts for HIS Superbird.

Oh, the horror!
If you’re a fan of classic Detroit steel, seeing something like this 1970 Mr. Norm’s Dodge Super Bee trying to rejoin the earth is just painful. You’re justified in asking who would neglect such an amazing machine, because it should be considered criminal negligence. The next question which always enters our mind is what will it take to bring the car back to its original state? And that’s where things get complicated with this and so many other abandoned classic cars.

Is the hype behind James Dean’s seemingly cursed Porsche 550 Spyder real or is it all just made up based on odd circumstances? You decide.
Nearly everyone is familiar with the name James Dean. This charismatic actor captured the eye of the world with his on screen performances and intrigued the car community with his love of fast cars. Unfortunately, one of Dean’s most memorable moments came in the form of tragedy on September 30th, 1955 when his Porsche slammed into another car going 85-mph. As tragic as it is, if that were the end of the story, it could be chalked up to just a very bad accident that prematurely took the life of a beloved young actor. However, there is more to the story of Dean’s Little Bastard.

I saw a lot of really bad ones over the years traveling the roads so much I still think the worst I ever saw was of Two young women in a Corvair were on a 2 lane highway and a flatbed truck jackknifed in front of them they ran under the trailer and were decapitated one of them had a young baby in the back seat that was bruise from hitting the seat back but not badly hurt, Their mother and father were right behind them in another car.
The blood was all the way from one side of the road to the other.
I saw one where the driver ended up in the trunk and the car was nearly split halfway down.
Lot of wrecks, I traveled 11E quite a bit.
I had a really good REALLY BIG friend 6'7 360 pounds get killed in a wreck with a log truck. I still remember coming up on the scene HE was an Operating Engineers Oiler.
I would have killed the truck driver if the State POPO had not been there, he whipped his trailer out in a curve and smacked my friend right in the face, he never knew he was dead, the front seat of his 1965 Chevy Impala SS was the front of the car the rest was rolled under.
He was just sitting there like it had no front end because it didn't.

Have you seen this car before?
The sight of an all-black Plymouth Superbird is enough to drop a few jaws and generate plenty of questions. After all, Plymouth didn’t make black versions of this wing car, did it? Also, some details on the car don’t look like any other Superbird. You’d be correct on both counts. The history of the Black Ice Superbird is a fascinating one few seem to know.
As explained in a recent YouTube video produced by Jennings Wing Cars, which we’ve included for your viewing enjoyment, it’s true that not a single Superbird was painted all black in the factory. This car originally was yellow, as indicated by the build sheet. That’s not all the changes made to it, as you can clearly see with the hood.

That looks good but I would say the same thing as I do about about a Back Corvette, or any Black supercar, because of the long nose on the Superbird..
DO NOT PARK THEM in a paved parking lot UNLESS you park them in the front row of parking.
I wonder where the white with black came from, Mays Auto Sales in Sheffield Alabama used to buy those up In the 70s and resell them around the country to collectors. I wonder if that 0ne was one of the ones he had for a bit because he drove it some and I haven.t seen another Black Vinyl and White bottom.
Mr Mays has been gone for a long time, but he knew a coming collector car when he saw it his lot always had some good ones Boss 429 mustangs, 427 Galaxies and 396 Novas etc. over the years.
A long time younger friend of mine just passed away He was a body shop superstar has a twin brother that has been a boat Mechanic and salesman for years. Their dad Had a 66 mustang Squareback with a 289 two four barrels and a four speed he TRADED for THE first Boss 429 mustang I ever saw in 1969 it was red with a black top.
He kept it for a short while and I asked him once how he liked it, he said he hated the thing it was not nearly as quick as the 66 he had.
I was thinking when my friend passed the other day what the car his dad traded off at a loss would be worth today And how great it would have been if my friend still had it all those years and kept it up.

Oh yeah!!! BECAUSE they will get backed over at night in a paved parking lot especially in a state that allows a high tint rate on their windows.

What does a black car have to do with anything?
If you have a car like that, you garage it. PERIOD.
It only comes out for joy rides, shows, special occasions then goes home, gets cleaned and secured.
Had a cuz with a black Corvette parked in the paved parking lot of a restaurant, Came out someone backed over the front of it and left.
Had a friend with a light blue Corvette, wanted to paint it black he had had it for quite a while light blue, parked it all around, I told him not to paint it black it would get run over in a dark parking lot, HE did within a month IT DID.
Dark Tinted side windows on a car make it hard to distinguish differences in shades In a black paved parking lot it is even harder to see a mostly black car.
I have a Cadillac DTS with about 20% side widows and I have to roll down the windows to back up in semi dark places at night because I cant see what is in the mirrors very well till I do.
My son has a nearly 30 foot long Night Edition RAM 3500 Megacab and IT was hit sitting in a dark place by someone who left the scene when it had less than 3000 miles on it.
So yeah there is a big difference. If you like it park it up front or leave it home and take the white car.
