for small cuts and bruises!
just open the container and shake that powder on the cut..
it will help coagulate the blood in a very short time, in this article they
spoke of 10-15 sec, don't know if it's that fast, have to try it sometime.
helps to keep the wound clean and sterile and the best part we can find this
stuff in our local shops and use it when we make chili too :D

Just wonder if it would burn? I typically keep WoundSeal powder onhand. Mostly for the animals, but works for humans just fine too.

While sugar and honey are old remedies, they cause more harm than good though, as they can promote bacteria. So don't do this route! As mentioned, cayenne pepper is good for stopping the bleeding. Then, other herbs can help the healing process (like aloe or tea tree oil (which is also a natural antiseptic))

Personally, I only recommend this in cases where a wound is really bleeding badly and a bandage just doesn't seem to be cutting it. Even then though, it's always best to seek professional medical attention if an injury continues to bleed for longer than one would expect.

agree,if you have a possibility to seek pro-help, do it,this cayenne powder is ment for those other times you don't have.
been thinking about that burn factor too, well one has to try someday ;)

I use cayenne, once the bleeding stops I pack the wound with sugar and bandage it up, i use this method on humans and animals, cayenne and sugar are part of all my FA kits.
I've never heard of sugar before, honey yes, but not sugar.

I may remember reading that sometime. It seems kind of strange to me to think about pouring sugar or honey on a cut, but if shtf, we all may be doing unconventional things. Sugar is really useful stuff. Besides sweetening my coffee, it can be used as rocket fuel too. There's a tremendous amount of energy in it. Every once in a while you hear of a sugar plant being leveled. Probably not a good career choice. :).
