We will go cut a tree down in a couple of weeks. It's a tradition:) We take a thermos of real hot chocolate - made with cocoa nibs and cream (and sometimes a nip of something else Hiccup) We get our tree, drink hot chocy, and come home and decorate it.

Okay Jim, I found it. His name is Tom Hooper from Weston, Missouri. He was on Hallmark cards etc. I read about him in 2002 - finally found the article, but if you do a google search, there are several articles.

Is this your Christmas tree @phideaux?

Believe it or not , one year , long time ago, I had a cutout of an AR15 , outlined in blue lights, about 4 ft long lit up over my deck on the pond so that the water reflected it like a mirror,
From the hwy it was cool.:D

Wife wasn't thrilled, but the kids were.

I have already been dreaming about opening my presents...
I'm sorry I just can't get into the spirit of the season.
As I watch the days vanish for this year all I can think about is come January, how much will we have to pay the fed and state. $2,000 $3,000 or more?
Sometimes I feel like the guy on the movie 'Home Alone' with the Tommy-gun...
"Keep the change, ya' filthy animal!"
I need whiskey:(.

Oh no... I refuse to be UNhappy ..when I get all 6 of my grands around me..see them big smiles when they get something special from Granny and Papa..
That's my joy of the year..
But you know what makes them light up even more.....
When I get excited opening a present from them..

MEMORIES.
