I would like to increase my communication privacy. I have been trying to de-google my life for years. I am currently looking for a de-googled phone. Any help buying or making a de-googled phone would be appreciated. This is a place to drop any communication privacy ideas.

Any mainstream device is going to be tracked constantly. Using a VPN or an onion browser helps- but many apps have absurd permissions and I don't even trust that they don't gather info if you disable em. Running an onion browser will slow you down btw- I use brave for most stuff myself.

I like the idea of that "unplugged" phone that Eric Prince was doing, but it's expensive and I still don't trust it. But I'm not a computer nerd and I really don't know much about what I'm talking about here. Just basics... I spent the morning hitting rocks together to take that fwiw.

This fella has a few videos with good info. This video is only about 1.5 min so I copied it, but you might look at his channel and see some of the other videos specifically on degoogling phones.

Are you talking about only phone comms or other ways to erase yourself from visibility?
If you’ve ever been interviewed by a newspaper and an article was written and published, had personal or business announcements posted as a matter of public record, had a significant event for your area or involvement in a major vehicle accident, it’s kind of hard to erase or bury that kind of information.
De-googling one’s online information at this point is kind of difficult.

I agree, but just because you have been wounded once doesn’t mean that you don’t try to stop the bleeding and to protect from further injury. We’re looking at a million paper cuts. We live in the information age. The more we all protect ourselves the less these jerks will make from us.

EDIT: Yes, all types of communication security.

I am not worried about my privacy.
I have none left, because all of my personal info is already on the internet.
The cow has already got out of the barn, closing the barn door now is pointless. :(
I.e. :

With respect to the balance of the data set, which includes personal information such as social security numbers, the source of the data is still being assessed.
AT&T has launched a robust investigation supported by internal and external cybersecurity experts. Based on our preliminary analysis, the data set appears to be from 2019 or earlier, impacting approximately 7.6 million current AT&T account holders and approximately 65.4 million former account holders. ... .We help more than 100 million U.S. families, friends and neighbors, plus nearly 2.5 million businesses, connect to greater possibility.

Let me introduce myself, I'm paranoia personified. I'm also a decent Google Ninja, if I can't find something, I know people who can.
Phone? BOOM!

1. Install Duckduckgo browser.

2. Add extension.

3. Use Antivirus and VPN.

4. Use Temp mail.

5. Never do push notifications on a piracy website.

It will be trackable because you do not use VPN all the time. If you do not want to give your email on any site, then using temp e-mail is beneficial.

Use antivirus to prevent malicious code from entering your device. Use VPN or proxy to hide your public IP.

If you do not want to save the website data to cookies, turn on a private browser.Do not give access to the device location, photos in any app.

It is not completely sure that you are untraceable and anonymous. This is only my knowledge as far as I know.

Hearing clicks on your phone make you jump?
Find a 2010 copy of Skype before Microsuck bought them out.

Feeling 007 grade?

Run Linux black hat, Anonymous approved worldwide.

Get an older copy of Zonelabs Zone alarm, 2010 or earlier, and make sure it has a perpetual serial key.

Ghost a Linux rig through a Windows box and keep NOTHING on the Windows box but the OS.
Never be banned or tracked anywhere! Any piece of junk that gets online will work.

Spectacular!:archery: .... thanks for helping to keep us safe !! ♥️

My anti-commie friends in Commiefornia (bless their hearts) swear by Duckduckgo.

Why only seven years? Because you age in seven years?
They seem to be treating it like a "record retention" policy ... 5 to 7 years.
There is legislation afoot to shrink it down to 30 days or less, because it cannot be demonstrated
as to why they need someone's likeness that long. NSA will never give that up...but the private sector doesn't need it.

Funny thing is...when I was in the Virgin Islands...we were not allowed to photograph Rastafarians because
according to their religion....they feel it steals their soul. If you ask them for a photo...they usually tell you no.
In some cases, it instigates a fight - - with knives. Not everybody wants their picture taken. Now, in particular, I get it.

The state of Louisiana has had my face photo from my DL for over a decade...
As does the guvment, and it is available to ANYONE who can type in my DL number. :(
People that believe they have any shred of anonymity left, are delusional.
Just look at how fast every perp gets arrested from just a grainy video from a security camera...
Doya' think they already had a picture of his face on file? 🤣

I picked up a degoogled Pixel 4a Gen 4 for $350.

My security is less than perfect but I do what I can. I have guarded my SSN for over 60 years. My cousin thought I was nuts, till her ID was stolen. On her death bed she found out that the gal that stole her ID was active again. I’ll do what I can. As I learn more I’ll incorporate more security into my life.

What they show us as CCCTV is NOT what the almighty "THEY" see. I have software twenty years old that can enhance a crap photo immensely!
