Does anyone remember, back in the old forum days, the amateur writer who wrote short stories about survival, and posted them on the forum for us to read? I loved his writings, but left us to author bigger and better writings? Anyone remember his name?
I remember a couple of forum members helped another forum member-writer with the book cover he wanted for a story he wrote. But I can't remember if that was on THIS forum or on one of it's predecessors that some members here migrated from.

I do not remember that author's forum handle. But I do remember the book cover:

David M. Bachman was the author name listed on the book. But I don't know if that was a real name or a pen name.

Oh @winds-of-change where are you???
I’m here. I’ve been distracted by other things. December and Early January were consumed by two procedures for a very large kidney stone removal. Then I’ve been playing too many games on my phone. Right now, watching the Super Bowl and pressure cooking a pork loin for pulled pork sandwiches.

So glad you're ok and hope you enjoyed those pulled pork sandwiches.

I'm missing Frodo and hope he'll be able to post again soon.

Always great to see you!! Whatcha been up to??

Holidays ate me — just a lot of little projects that needed to be done before Christmas, with travel both for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Then we had a friend visiting for a week and a half, post-New Year.

After friend left, we got the master bath mostly remodeled. We’re waiting on them fixing a cabinet and replacing the tub, which got a hairline crack when I stood on it. Luckily warranty should do the trick for that.

During that time, all three of my sewing machines had problems. I got the first of them back from the shop yesterday and dropped the second one off.

Husband’s been dealing with blood sugar issues and health issues with his parents, so that’s been a bit of a thing as well.

I’m trying to squeeze time to make more miniatures, a different friend and I are planning to sell at the Denver miniatures show this year. Also studying Japanese — I hit a milestone birthday last year and requested a trip to Japan, which is slotted for April. I’m super excited about that.

How’s things been here?
