we can still prep in the UK and not just for small times, we can prep for TEOTWAWKI but we keep it simple, back to the pre industrial lifestyle everything done by hand, some will have solar panels some will not, I do have them but like has been said they are tied into the national grid-most homes dont have room for stacks of batteries, but we still get free electric at least when the sun is shining.
knowing how to grow food is an advantage over the masses who dont have a clue and rely on the supermarkets, I have been growing my own food most of my adult life and have lived off grid in the past and will again.

So without land, how do you prep? This might be helpful to house and small yard preppers. Not everyone on here has land, and I would bet some have apartments with just a balcony. What concepts are most important to you?

something tells me I am wasting my time on this site. maybe because I'm not American and the differences in prepping are too great.
I live in an apartment now.
I have restrictions about what I can do.
But I have also lived all over the world literally.
Have had gardens even in flower pots, stock tanks etc.
I keep the old ways alive for the younger generation in my family.
Homesteading to me is grow where you are planted at this moment.
My grandchildren are learning how to cook, garden, can food, sew, knit,
Homesteading is a way of life.
