Sounds like a Chinese "wet market", what some of y'all have eaten. I had a sheltered childhood I guess. Not much wild meat for me, except what my uncles hunted: pheasant, quail (?), goose, venison
We eat lots of venison and fish. Of course beef and pork. We have tried wild hog . Yucky! We have had ostrich and emu. It was really good. Dove, duck, quail. Frog Legs. Shark. Chicken, Turkey,Cornish game hen. Elk didnt like it.
Lots of these I'd be intrested to try but compared to most of you I didn't try much.
I've tried coyote, raccoon, rabbit, squirrel, gator tail, deer, bear (sausage so doesn't really count) but that's about it.
After I over cooked the full grown coon I read the best are the young ones since the older ones are tougher......live and learn. Lol.
Try eating from street vendors in places like Thailand and the Philipines.
You can never be sure what it is. My policy was to try it and if you didn't like it get something else but under no circumstances ask what it was.
My son and his wife were traveling in Europe. While in Ireland he has a burger with haggis on it. They didn’t look it up until he was finished eating it. Made from sheep intestines.
