What are huge corporations thinking that they hire people who people who do NOT speak English, to handle customer service by phone. I don't blame the employees, they try hard, but they can't enunciate words in English.

Nine calls in an hour and thirty-five minutes, the first eight, tried to communicate. The nineth person spoke poor English, but we got the order canceled.

I just don't understand why companies would put people in customer service, who can't speak English.

I've heard many corporations farm out their call centers to other countries, so more than likely you're not talking with anyone in the states and even if you are, not many homegrown Americans are willing to work in a call center.

Yes, you are likely talking to someone who woke up that morning in a cardboard box or shanty. Try asking for a supervisor. That usually gets a person who can effectively communicate.
