Hey. Realized my dryer heater is not functioning. Are there fuses on dryers? Could it be the element has gone bad?
Will research online directly in a moment.
It is a May tag, less than 5 years old. Not used every day but frequently enough.
I normally run it on LOW, once in awhile MEDIUM, rarely HIGH. Usually on a timed setting. (Has nothing to do with it but is why I don’t use the jeans setting: After the cycle, the jeans setting goes into an intermittent tumble setting that I have turned off, but the dial still turns in that setting, meaning it is using electricity but not drying or tumbling).

call owner or may tag repairman...i swear its always something....just fixed mine with a heating element last week.

hope its something simple...there is a fuse thingy in back on older ones...who knows how these new ones are designed now.

good luck !!

I forgot I still have insurance on it so I've set up an appointment but don't even know if I can have off work at that time, in a couple of days. Fingers crossed but now I have to set up the laundry thing to dry the towels.

For those that search this thread in the future. Look for a fuse, check the element, look for a burned connection or control. Check for power going into a control and coming out. Check continuity of the element.

I have a spare dryer out back under a tarp. During the summer I cruise yard sales, moving sales and estate sales. Always someone moving that is selling a washer and dryer. From free to $50. I also can trouble shoot and fix things but unless it is something I really like the parts and my time are better spent on other things.
I still need to find a washing machine I can bicycle power for the coming power outages.

I've never worked on an electric dryer, but have seen a number of videos about it.. It seems many things are a simple cleaning, belt, roller wheel, high limit switch failure or other simple part change.. If you are handy enough to get it open to clean out, it is simple enough to check some of these things to ...eliminate the simple things first..
Good luck..
