It's odd. I have some very liberal, highly educated friends, that I generally consider to be smart, even if they are a bit pie in the sky when it comes to social issues.
Still though, I thought of them as intelligent.
Paste tense emphasis here....because these same friends honestly believe that a) Warren would make a good President, and b) that she'd win against Trump.
Are you kidding me? The Dems could field almost literally ANYBODY besides Warren, Waters, Pelosi, or Clinton, and have a decent chance of victory. You'd really have to have your head up your ass to think Pocahontas is going to have a snowflake's chance in Hell of victory in 2020!

The BAD...Now that California virus has broke quarantine it's infesting practically every state in the nation, example Seattle and it's now consuming Washington, even Austin Texas is spreading outward, Washington is trying to infest Idaho, Utah, this is perhaps the most contagious virus of the 21st century!

The problem with the folks leaving Komifornia, is they do not leave their stupid liberal attitudes behind. The can't seem to make the connection with high cost of living and liberal / socialist concepts. Where ever they go, they try to institute a liberal government. There lay the real problem.It is a true infection and there does not appear to be any way to stop the spread.
Still think the Repub states should leave and create there own country.
I am seeing it first hand in action here. There seems to be a lot of support ( more than I would ever expect here in Texas) for a guy running for Senate named Beto. He has Bernie Sanders ideas with a young JFK look. He is visiting every county in Texas. He came out of no where and has $$ from California. I think they want him to win have minimum experience ( like Obama) and run for president in 2020 as a young Bernie Sanders.

Hey guys its your own fault having porous internal borders, you no longer have checks or boundaries to keep the cancer of Socialism from spreading everywhere, all tye more reason for a Repub ceding from the US.

Beto O'Rourke. He's running against Ted Cruz. He came out in defense of the kneeling NFL players, and got some play from that. I guess some polls have him pretty close to Cruz. (then again, who trusts polls anymore?) - Thank goodness, because stats are all BS anyhow, as anyone would know who has ever taken a stats course.

Now, the average idiot will read "half a decade" and get it in their head that it's a long time. It's 5 frickin' years, making him a total NOOB in Congress. "Seasoned"? "Familiar with Washington"? Yeah, in the way that I'm "familiar" with Washington, from my extensive use of a $1 bill. Man this kind of blatant attempt to influence ticks me off.
Imagine a country where everyone who was able to worked for what they got, no free handouts. No stupid grants for stupid stuff and a balanced budget.
Unfortunately the fiat currency isn't design to run in the black, nixon in 72 took the USD off the gold standard and replaced it with the fiat thus our currency is tied to debt. Consumer and corporate borrowing is the thermometer that gauges the economy. In other words, how well we balance debt is the standard.

The guy was arrested in the 90's for burglary of a home... I guess he has a 'different' view of "property rights". But he made up for that with another arrest for DUI. But the media is pitching and selling him like he's their last hope. Far, far left mindset. He doesn't stand a chance in Texas. But they are apparently going for the "you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time..." strategy. If they can get him in, they have 6 years before he'll be ejected. Just wait, they will have some big October surprises going after Cruz. It will happen, otherwise this leftie loser will have 0% chance.
You should see how the local media praise this guy every chance they get. I can't even watch the local news any more because it disgusts me.

Glenn Beck was talking about Beto today. His name is Robert Francis, but he just puts Beto on yard signs because it sounds more Hispanic than his Irish name,
Of course Ted Cruz actually has a Hispanic name, Raphael.

I hope you are correct when you say he doesn’t stand a chance ( my brother lives in rural Texas and says the same thing) I just know there a lot of yard signs that show support for him and bumper stickers on cars. That kind of surprised me. Lots of people from California, and lots of young people that really dig the thought of free everything.
so long as y'all are identifying threats and risks from ALL sources that may endanger your values, cultures, liberties, freedoms, way of life KEEP TALKING ABOUT IT , A deadly lefty politicians is just as dangerous as a hurricane.
I was jabbing at someone from Montana on another website abought their Governor turning out to be a gungrabber . Montana of all places and I got ambushed by Folks from Montana about how He lied and used Voters that had moved there from the left coast to get elected then flipped on Them . That could happen to alot of States . We have alot of liberal influence here in Nashville and Knoxville not to mention all the free stuff voters in Memphis . TN has held onto being a conservative State but the pinko's are making a big push this year .
