So I've heard some horror stories about Quik-Clot from military medics. I've heard that it will stop a wound from bleeding but it also will cause some very bad skin burns that might require skin grafts or plastic surgery to repair later on. Is anyone familiar with this? Is there something else that the military is moving toward rather than Quik-Clot?

Bleed to death or bad skin burns...let me think about this for a bit....

I got the quick clot gauze. Suppose to work just as well and dr. don't have to dig it out like the powder type.

I never heard of that before. But yet.id rather have a burn or a rash instead of taking a chance of bleeding to death.and what if I'm out hiking? In which i can stop the bleeding slowly by the way of gauze? That much bleeding can weaken me.so i'll go with quiek clot.
