True, but I'm always worried if I open up something suspicious that it could give a scammer access to my phone or computer. I know very little about computers/phones that I won't take a chance.

I got an email from Trey Gowdy AFTER he had left office pleading with me to send a donation so he could fight Nancy Pelosi and others. I wouldn't send any a donation but I thought that was funny and shows that it's all theatre.

When I get a spam text or call on my cell phone, I just block the number. For texts, I never hear from that # again. For phone calls, their # does show up in my recent calls but it's listed as blocked and the phone doesn't even ring.

Problem is, the nefarious idiots buy complete blocks of phone numbers, so although you block one specific number, they still have 999 other phone lines to attack you with.

Agreed. I just block them as they come in. Don't know of a way to block an entire phone area code/exchange at one time.

Agreed 100% hence why I'm hyper careful who I give my email & phone number to and about what comments I make on social media so as not to tip off big brother aka the US government

I hope no member in Iowa ever tries to call me from area code 712.
I blocked about 30 calls, all from different numbers, that were spam from that area code.
I gave up.
Today, any call from that area code goes unanswered, and deleted from call history.
Guess what?
The calls stopped because I was 'dead' to them.
