Does anyone have good grow light suggestions for seedling starts?
This is coming from @dademoss who is looking to get tomatoes started.
I used to use florescent bulbs and they worked fine. I replaced them with LED to save energy.

I just went with the best price. Lettuce needs light to germinate so they only get a light sprinkle of dirt to cover them. There are a lot of option about the light spectrum to play with to optimize growth vs flower/fruiting. But I haven't researched those details.

Great thread....just today the wife and I were looking at grow lights on line..
We plan on starting a lot of herbs and interesting garden stuff we can eat... Since we are in montana it behooves us to start as early as possible and also we need to get some fresh consumables growing in the winter.

So for starting garden plants can we use the standard led four foot strip shop lights?
