Hi,
I hope everyone is doing alright.
This is my first time here, and I am so happy to find a place with like minded people.
I am in my late thirities and just bought myself a homestead in Norway. I have been living here 4 months now, and even though it certainly has been a stressful adjusting period, now things are falling more into place, and there is actually time to enjoy and rest.

I am looking forward to getting to know you.
If you want to follow my journey, (Blog information prohibited)

Take care,

Heidi

Hello and welcome here from a fellow of Norwegian blood lines, on my dad's side my grandfather came from Tromso and my grandmother was born in Trondheim, the other half of my bloodlines is French, Irish and Sioux, I'm just happy to be me, wife and I have a little over two acres out in the woods of S. W. Oregon.

Welcome from Eastern Missouri. Smack dab in the middle of the USA. My ancestors hailed from Sweden, so consider me a kindred spirit Viking. Your homestead is absolutely gorgeous. Good luck with the project, and good to have you with us. :welcome:

Welcome from Paradise, Alaska.

Welcome from Oregon, Pacific Northwest. Your place looks beautiful and peaceful. We always seem to have a black kitty or 2 also. I look forward to hearing and seeing more.

Welcome from Iowa!

The area of Iowa where I grew up was mostly settled by Norse immigrants. It's so Norse that some of the towns have signs that say "Velkommen" instead of "Welcome". Both of my Grandmothers come from 100% Norse families, from Kvinnherad on my father's side. That branch of the family has a connection to the Barony Rosendal. On my mother's side, my ancestors came from a place called the Linde farm near Stavanger. Your homestead picture looks much like the ones of the Linde farm, that my grandmother kept in her box of personal treasures.

Enjoy the forum!
