Classic case of "give 'em an inch, they'll try and take a mile...."

though, we'll see how things go after the planned event in Texas this month. Supposedly, they are already hiring crisis actors on Craigslist..... If you believe in that sort of thing. Of course, it could be legit for a rehearsal drill, etc. or not....we'll see.

For once I actually bought guns before a shooting.....I bought a PMR30, CMR30 and 3 AK's within a week of the Florida shooting....maybe it was that little voice ? Maybe it was the Trolls ? Either way if all the prices go crazy I am set, Stockpiling(Hoarding) ammo has always been a hobby I can spend more time at....The LGS owners son told me a guy in my area had accumulated app. 250 cases of ammo in the past few years to make sure he would never run out....he said it would take a lot of ammo to clear out all the Trolls.....

During the dark days of ovomit I bought all the ammo, hi-cap magazines and reloading components to last myself and family a lifetime. Although not my favorite, I have all the semi autos that I need too.

Yeah.... maybe we’re all dangerous.

Seriously, I’m capable of shooting up the place, but not interested in doing so.

I work in IT, so it’s a given that I’m crazy....

GG,

It looks like you're arguing with yourself. For 2 reasons:
1. You're talking to an idiot.
2. I have the idiot on 'ignore'.

You'd be much happier putting him on ignore. How about this? Put him on 'ignore'. If you find after a few days that you really miss hearing from and arguing with a moron, then you can easily go back & un-ignore him and return to wasting your time.

Iv put the certain 2 on ignore. It shortened the threads and cleaned up alot of stuff that I was having to scroll through .

Iv been talking gun control with People on both sides of the issue . One that surprised Me is a former Army Officer . He asked what I thought about raising the age to 21 to buy a firearm . I said most 18 through 20 year olds hav'nt committed any crime that would keep them from buying a firearm and only 1 mass shooter that I know of was in that age group . He wasn't convinced . I said the mental health thing will be full of misuse . Like a Vet seeks counseling for PTSD or someone has to deal with depression for what ever reason so now neither can own a firearm . Thats not right . He said yes none of Them , none none none can buy a gun . We gotta stop it now .
This was a Military Officer , I lost all respect for Him right there .

A lot of Military Officers after a certain rank become politicians, the rank, money and retirement means more than the Oath, it's even worse now, way worse. They will follow the path of least resistance and at some point believe that path is right because it got them a higher rank than would have attained if they followed the Oath. IF banning any guns and making more gun laws is in his best interest he will go along with it, retired or active.....all about money....Gun Control makes people money, more Federal dollars to a lot of places to implement and uphold....and fill a bunch of pockets....The FOR the People in the Constitution was removed due to Greed and Power....

Of course a military officer would trust the gov't. He's been trained to trust the gov't. His job depends on the gov't working.

I wouldn't lose any respect for him. I think your expectations were off base to start with. It's like asking a coyote if a chicken has a right to life...

Note that I'm not disrespecting our military. God bless them. But they have their limitations like anyone else. It'd be like asking me to work in an abortion clinic. CAN I do a good job there? But do you think I would?
