Welcome LadyLocust!
I'm in the SE corner of Washington but after this last legislative session I'm thinking hard about moving to Idaho.

Hello from a former Washingtonian now living in the S.W. corner of Oregon. I grew up just outside of Bremerton on Erland's Point, loved Washington for hiking and fishing but hated the politics, trouble is, Oregon is getting worse by the year, however we're not moving, too much invested into where we are and this area is one of the better areas on the Left Coast. At one time it was survivalist Mel Tappan's favorite areas to escape to, I think that's been revised to Idaho, I checked that out before we decided on moving here and there were some issues about Idaho we didn't like. Anyway, Welcome to a great site.

It seems to be a race to see whether Washington or Oregon can get to the bottom of the political cesspool first.
The Rogue River area would have been on the top of my relocation list before all the California transplants moved north and screwed it up.

Warm welcome! I've been around some these last couple months but have missed out on a lot. Maybe when life slows down some. . . I will have to check out your blog sometime. It sounds like something I would be interested in. :). I saw some mention of it over in the canning thread.
