Thank you!
I guess I should give y'all a little background. I am a 40 year old widowed mother of three. I am an amateur historian and former RN. I am a very happy outgoing person. I love my country and our current President. I homeschool all three children. My twins who are 15 will graduate high school in late August.
I began prepping after September 11. I was actually in Manhattan that day and saw the second plane hit (though I was at a distance) After that I realized, there was more than just terror to be concerned about. Right now my biggest "concern" is H7N9
I believe in being prepared for everything, not just one or two specific events. I believe it is my job to ensure my children are provided for in any eventuality.
I have for several years belonged to another forum but, the owner of that forum is becoming increasingly erratic and I do not thrive on fussing and fighting. So, here I am. I hope I will be an asset to this community.
Welcome. Glad you got out of manhattan safely! The traffic alone is probably more dangerous than terrorism. I noticed you said ex RN, what got you out of nursing at such a young age?
