Hello! I'm very new to prepping and am eager to start. I am 25 and recently became a stay at home wife. I have the time to start prepping. We are currently renting with a small yard and back woods. We have aw good amount of food stockpiled but I know it needs work. Any other tips of what I could be doing would be helpful.

Honestly, I'm prepping for an economic collapse. Not much extreme weather. Although, I am concerned about a man made disaster.

Hi Sarah, and welcome!

I just gotta ask after the election yesterday, have people in Virginia gone insane?
Ha! Yes!! I had high hopes at the beginning of the night... Good to see that it wasn't a complete sweep... But I was devastated by the results :-(

Welcome from another VA prepper(NoVA). I hope you enjoy your stay and find some good info. I hope you share yours with us, too. A lot of folks think they don't have enough experience, skills, or other things to offer. I have gotten a lot of great info from new members here, so please jump in with your $.02 too!

Living in VA, I am at a loss when people ask what I'm prepping for. Our area could be hit by weather, man-made disasters, civicl unrest, and who knows what else. I figure as a prepper I should be preparing for virtually anything.... All the things non-preppers think can't, or won't happen.

Thanks again for joining and I hope you find useful info. If not, let us know so we can work on figuring it out. I'm sure you're not alone in wondering how to handle a certain issue, and you could be bringing up an angle we haven't even considered.

Thank you so much... I noticed your location was the Philippines. I hope that if that's the case you are well. I've been following the news about the typhoon, just awful...

Yes, the central Philippines was hit badly and a lot of damage and loss of life has happened. I am from the northern part of the country (Metro Manila). We were spared at the last minute by a shift in direction of the storm.

We are well and we had our preps out in case we were hit. Told the wife to cook extra rice in the rice cooker so that when the power goes out, we would have rice for the day and not have to cook more using the butane stove.

Hi there Sarah, glad to have ya aboard! Id say the potential for what you could do is pretty good with your little set up. Tried gardening before? Its quite the learning curve, after awhile I stopped killing everything that I planted.
