Would the dog carry its own, they make doggie packs?

Most people that I've heard from let the dog carry its own food and some water. Some other specialty items, like a bowl for example. The Indians used to rig a travois for their dogs so they could carry a heavier load. There are charts on the net to tell you how much weight your dog should carry.

Not in this case. He is only 15-20 lbs. Food, a water bowl, a leash, blanket. He will be comfortable, although I think he is comfortable as long as he is with us.

Our pup weights 14 lbs. He could carry his food for a few days. But anything else is on us, well me. We do have a small collapsible water bowl. Harness and leash would stay on him

Yes, they do make doggy packs. This is a photo of one of the dogs I care for, going hiking with her owners. They rock climb, and they have plenty of other stuff to carry, so she carries her own stuff.

That is a nice pack. For some reason I was reminded that there is no State where it is illegal for a dog to conceal carry.

Only the best for Darcie! I'd be willing to bet that they are not conceal carry people, but I could be wrong. His parents moved to northern Idaho a few years ago, and that in and of itself says something. But having a dog conceal carry for you is not a bad idea.

At times I have used the one strap, over the shoulder ...sling bag... It is usually a bit smaller than an adult, college size, back pack.. Lighter, for me less trouble to carry, and can occasionally can be found at thrift stores... College size, adult, back packs seem cheap at many thrift stores..

I too wear cargo trousers, my EDC stuff goes in those pockets or and my shirt pockets.
I have a GHB but that stays in the car out of sight.
