I'm related to Der Weiss (the white) Jonas Stutzman. He built a big Jesus chair and always wore white.

Anybody else related to someone "odd"?
I am related to King Henry VIII 's 6th? wife. (Either 6th or 7th, can't remember without looking.) Also, on Ma's side, to Brigham Young - but probably lots are.

As far as hobbies during the Pretendemic, mine actually waned. Because others were choosing not to work, I got to work more, just with a lot more inconveniences.
@DrJenner Come on over. I'll teach you how to quilt. I can knit too but am pretty novice.

I've tried to exercise more. Nobody cares about masks when you're riding a bike or hiking. Last year I fished a bunch, this year not so much. And I've dug into early Christian history - the early church leaders that came along between 100AD and the council of Nicea. Reading about the writings and history of people like Polycarp, Irenaeus, and Ignatius fascinates me...

By now we would be going on our 3rd cruise. :(
I stay busy watching stocks and the stock market. Always going up or down every day.
If you have money in the game, it's like a casino you can play by just by turning on the TV and your tablet.
I don't trade that much so it's more like being addicted to a old-time soap opera.

I would love that!

I just finished this shawl. It’s a wedding gift for a friend. Hubby is modeling it. 😁

Let's see, Built a new kitchen... increased garden yield, canned more, started experimenting with solar power and battery backups. Nope, can't think of any new hobbies right off.....

The wife expanded her genealogy research, sewed till she broke her machine (twice)-grabbed another one and kept the presser-foot down, and she has been very "experimental" in her canning activities....

No I don't think we have picked up any "new Hobbies" yet.....

We did spend 3 months cooking without a kitchen, using a bathroom sink counter, cooking in electric skillets, toaster oven, and crock pots: think of it as prepping for a bomb going off in your kitchen....... FYI the fridge was in the living room this whole time... not good for entertaining guests ;)
Sounds like my house when I was remodeling the kitchen. My fridge was in the dining room. The powder room was right by the kitchen and I schlepped water from there to the kitchen to wash dishes in dishpans. Toilet was where water got poured out. It took me a few years to get the kitchen fully functional. I did keep my electric stove in the kitchen, but it got moved around as needed. I have been wanting a gas stove ever since I bought my home. The gas line to the kitchen needs to be replaced.

Yep our kitchen was kind of "un-usable":
Here's the dining room:

And Here is the kitchen, eventually the wall all had to be stripped down to nothing...

There were several days when there just wasn't any floor....

These things can take time. Some people cannot handle the mess, but as long as I am seeing progress, I am okay.
