How do you store your extra gasoline?

I store mine in my car's gas tanks, right alongside all the other gasoline.

The only gasoline I "store" is for the lawn mower. That's a 2-1/2 gallon container in the garage (only full at the start of the summer). I don't like the risk/benefit ratio of storing lots of gasoline unless you're setup to do that safely in some outside storage place. Five gallon jerry cans? I'd need seven of those just to fill up the pickup once. Eight more to fill the van. Three each for the Mustang and the small SUV. That's a pretty substantial risk to have sitting around in the garage.

Agreed. My father had a bunch of extra 5 gallon gas containers stored in a small storage shed just for that purpose at the back of his property. Alas, he had to sell that property.

I may have to build a little roof for the cans outside the garage.

In the gas tank of a parts truck we have! The tank was new on the truck when we bought it 7 years ago. It had been wrecked, old tank damaged. The guy thought he could fix the truck and make money. Got it for 1200$ and drove it for 2years. It was a "flood" truck from the coast. Got 2 years if use out of it and it's a parts truck for my hubby's truck. Don't know how long it's ok to store gas in the tank, it gets syphoned dry after every mowing season. May come down to get cleaned one year. Also provided generator gas! We fill it with five jerry cans, only two this year! Thanks Joe☹️

I've got a 300 gallon bulk tank for premium non ethanol gasoline and a 300 gallon bulk tank for off road diesel. Plus a 55 gallon "day" tank for my diesel generator. I've got a 60 gallon transfer tank mounted in the bed of my truck. Right now its full of non ethanol gas. I can carry up to 100 gallons of gas in my truck. I had everything filled up in January. I also have about a dozen 5 gallon gas cans scattered around the place.

Used heating oil tanks are a good cheap way to store gas. I have several I bought for under $100 each.

Larger volumes store much better than smaller ones do. Constant temperatures also help a whole lot. Cooler is also better than warmer.
