Is this the Sipsey wilderness you're referring to? Spent a lot of time there myself, not my backyard but backyard adjacent. I'm actually pretty close to the other Sipsey. Used to take cattle to sell at Natural Bridge.

Sipsey Wilderness in North West Alabama. Has the Big Tree and Fatman squeeze, eye of the needle, ship rock, etc. those waterfalls do look familiar though... but then again alot of waterfalls in the South look the same when you can't see the surrounding area! =D
