Hi guys.

I discovered a very simple, economic, practical way to deal with the lack of toilet paper: disposable coffee filters!

There is no shortage of disposable coffee filters in the store. They make good toilet paper!

I am also experimenting with making masks out of them.

Come on, guys, give me some likes over this!

I'm assuming this idea has been tested?

When I was in Africa many of the public "toilets" had 1 cloth rag hanging on a nail. Everyone used the same rag. I always carried my own TP with me. Some Asian countries sold TP by the square. In the middle east most public toilets just had a water hose. So...there are options.

I mean, you can suggest something as an idea to get people thinking, but if you claim it's a genius solution to all the world's problems then you better have some evidence to back it up.
I have used coffee filters today, and they work fine (for me).

I imagine that they are slightly coarser than what some people are used to, but I didn't think that they were uncomfortable and/or messy in any way.

I would equate the texture (just by feeling it) with--maybe--a McDonald's napkin.

It is certainly better than doing without!

I imagine that someone who is overly fussy might conceivable have an issue with this, but I found the filters to work very well.

If anything, use moderation when flushing them down the toilet, as I imagine that a bunch all at once (diarrhea, perhaps?) may clog up the pipes, so use common sense and restraint when exploring this idea.

The water hose arse cleaning option is widely available in most Finnish homes and public toilets. The toilet paper panic buying looked strange considering people didn't seem to be buying much food. Last time I checked, without eating food there is little need for toilet paper.

Don't know what that is.
If you've seen old-fashoned sausages fastened together in a string (like you may see in an old movie that features a deli or grocery store), the imagine putting a dirty, sodden diaper in a huge plastic bag, twisting it so it's sealed in, putting in the next diaper, twisting it so it's sealed in, and so on.

When you pull the full bag out of the diaper genie, it looks like sausage links . . . with each link being a sealed-up dirty diaper. See below:

They are pretty cheap . . . around $40.00 new, although I've seen them on Craig's List for $10.00.

I dunno, maybe you could wrap it tight, paint it reddish brown, hang it in the garden looking like freshly smoked sausages and just wait for it to get stolen??? HAHAHAHA?
Hey, if you can’t have a warped sense of humor in life it wouldn’t be worth living! God knows mine has gotten me put in the dog house more than once....
LOVE IT. My kind of twisted, LOL.

Did you watch that Sandra Bullock movie. . . Heat? With Melissa McCarthy in it. There is a line in there about using coffee filters as toilet paper. :p
